Zombie Contingency Plan.

So after much discussion over the years, I figured I might as well put this plan down in writing.

Right now, I'm gonna assume that the zombies are gonna be a mix of Shaun of the Dead zombies and 28 days later zombies. Shaun of the Dead zombies are just too slow period and 28 Days Later zombies are scary fast. In terms of how fast the infection would spread, I think that about 30 min to an hour would be enough time for the infection to be scary, but not fast enough to be too much of a handful. Assuming the situation was like Shaun of the Dead, where everything happened kinda suddenly, first step would be to acquire either a pick up truck or van. I have access to both, so it's only a matter of choice. In terms of convenience, the pick up truck would be easiest to obtain first. After getting the pick up truck, next step would be to get a few friends. As far as arming ourselves in the mean time, I figure enough of us have garden tools that could act as clubs. In my own backyard right now, I think there's a pickaxe, hatchet, and this reallyy long and heavy bar of iron. Until obtaining better weapons, those should be sufficient for fighting off any zombies.

Once about 5 or 6 people are with me, I plan on going to the bus garage and steal a bus. Seeing as I never actually see the buses use an actual key, I figure stealing one cant be that difficult. My rationale for stealing a bus is simple; the damn things weigh several tonnes so I'm pretty sure they could just barrel through any roadblocks that might be set up. Next target would be a grocery store with a large front windoow. Drive the bus through one of the windows, load up on basic supplies if possible. Ultimately, my goal would be to reach a Costco or Wal Mart. However, I assume that there will be other survivors out there that will make the supply part somewhat difficult. In any case, I plan on being in the city no more than a week.

Upon entrance into a Costco, I plan on loading up the bus with as many cases of water and canned food as possible. Probably grab some water filtering items as well. eventually i aim on making out to the country
