Last Night
Last night was winter ball. I came into it not exactly looking forward to it. I figured I would end up just standing around with my friends, occasionally dancing when the mood struck. I got there, and that's exactly what happened, only I found out that dancing made my back and knee hurt. The reason for that is another story for another entry. What made last night a night to remember can probably be traced back to an accidental phone call I received about an hour before the dance.
It was about 7pm that night. I was trying to decide if I really wanted to go to this whole winter ball thing when I got a call from Jen. Naturally, I pick up. Only thing is, shes crying. I'm guessing I wasn't the person she meant to call, but I ask her whats wrong anyway. I find out why and after a few minutes, we make a plan for me to drop by her house and take her to the dance. Chill downstairs fer a few with her younger bros and ya. Drive over to the dance in record time cos we late, show up and do the whole dance thing. I wasnt really feeling the whole actual dance thing, so after we took pictures, Jen and I left. We went to the In N Out in Fairfield to grab a bite and came back down to that one rest stop overlooking Vallejo. MAAN. That place has a great view at night. For about 20 min or so we just stood there and looked. I never would have thought something like that would have been so...awesome. IDK, but it was one of those moments that you never want to forget. We were talking the whole time and everything just felt so...natural. Even though it was only the second time we had one on one time, everything felt so comfortable. It was almost as if we had skipped the getting to know you part and just went straight to the happy just be there part. Just a thought. Even though that part was great, it wasn't over yet. I was dropping her off home when she told me to keep going past her house. I figured we would just end up looking at the view over by Georgia st and I was right. I learned more about her and it was actually nice seeing as we were both warm and cozy. Ended up dropping her off around 11:45 and didnt get home until past midnight.
This goes down as the first time I've ever had anyones in my arms like that. It's a great feeling tover have and I'm kinda sorta hoping that things will happen in my favor.
With my luck, I don't see that happening.
